| | | In Praise of Rockpools When my two boys were young we holidayed in the Bude area on a friends farm, this was excitment enough but their real favourite was the rockpools at what we called Puffle beach (in reality Northcote beach reached via Pough Hill)
One side of the beach was sandy the other rocky and full of rockpools, many an hour was lost as these microworlds were explored and their contents decanted into buckets and jars for examination.Prized above all were the Blennies and Gobys ,followed by crabs, shrimps, then anemones(to which they would feed shreds of various unlucky creatures)
Does anyone explore these pools now?
