Practical Photography recently ran a competition for wildlife pictures with captions. As I'm always ready to steal a good idea I thought we could do something similar here. No winners or losers and no prizes either but it could be a bit of fun.
The original competition stated "Your captions can be funny, erudite or informative, but they must complement your image in such a way that it adds to the viewer's enjoyment and should be no longer than 25 words."
I'll start off with my (non-winning  ) entry to the original competition...  By the third evening of their fishing trip, Colin's endless stories
about "the one that got away" were starting to wear a bit thin.

Sorry this is not UK wildlife, but this is what I entered in that competition. It didn't win either   "Did Leonora really find the joke funny or was this just an opportunity to show off her dental work?"
