Just thought of another, I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but I used to love Captain Pugwash

The Double Deckers
The Arabian Nights (size of an elephant)
Chigley, trumpton and Camberwick Green. I've got them all on DVD.
Casey Jones, not sure what the programme was called but he was an american engine driver.

Thanks, briar rose, you just made my day! I loved the theme from White Horses when I was a kid, and hadn't heard it for years!

And like you, I was going to mention Captain Pugwash as a favourite. Along with Noggin the Nog (mentioned by Tormentil), which I can only just vaguely remember but I know I loved it.

Of course, I'm a little too old to watch children programmes nowadays, but apparently 'Arthur' is very good - his little sister DW is hilarious. So I'm told, anyway, obviously I wouldn't watch it myself, no, no of course not ...

Re: Your favorite kiddies programme...

when i was a kid i used to watch postman pat religiously, as well as re-runs of the original pink panther cartoons, but my favourites were dungeons and dragons and ulysses 31. when i got to about 18 they started showing repeats of the wombles and the clangers late night and i got hooked on them as well.

best one of all though was the tony hart show with the morph cartoons!

Re: Your favorite kiddies programme...

Gosh I must include the pink panther as well. It has been said, cruelly may I say, that I dance like the pink panther the rinky-dink Pink Panther.

Have to include Thunderbirds as well M'lady.

Ooo and the Banana splits

Re: Your favorite kiddies programme...

What a nice little amble down memory this thread is.
I used to love a lot of the already mentioned programs too, especially Double Deckers, Casey Jones and definately White Horses.
My other favourites were Pipkins, The Flashing Blade (must have been something to do with all those subtitles!), Dodo.....the kid from out-a-space and my All Time Favourite - Barnaby.
hmmmm...What lovely memories!!

Re: Your favorite kiddies programme...

Rag Tag & Bobtail - I think thats when the Rabbit obsession started

Also Pogles Wood, Tales of the Riverbank, my mother told me I liked the Woodentops when I was little but thats not how I remember it. Scooby Doo and Wacky Races later on.

Wish I'd seen the Clangers.

Gosh we are all giving away our ages here
