 I have just been reading Stuarts post ' Hello from StuDH' and found a thread by Merlin, stating that he hated the word 'Blog', so do I and wonder if anyone knows where it originated, I started this rather than hijack on Stuarts post.

It's short for 'weblog'. Bit of a mouthful, so it's been shortened to 'blog'.
