indoor rain

hi its me again on about my cockatiels, only cos i love them and they are my life, its about hunny and sunny my two indoor birds, they both live togeather in a large cage in my coservatory with my plants its a bit like living in the wild and i love it.This morning i woke up to heavy rain and strong wind so i was stuck inside most of the day,did my housework and came on here,i dont know if birds have a sixth sence or what, but when ever there is heavy rain they act as though they are getting wet, turning upside down with wings outstreatched its wonderful to watch, they do the same thing in the avery but they are in the rain so i understand that, the birds in the house have never been in the rain so how do they know its raining other than sound on the conservatory roof, i always humidify them they go even sillyer,in fact they have been out their cage all day cos i havnt got the patio doors open with all the wind and rain, well i hope your not too board of me going on and thanks for getting this far.

Re: indoor rain

Lol! That's quite funny!

Must be something in their 'psyche' that tells them to do that when they hear the rain - awww! Sounds like they keep you amused when your stuck indoors

hi cazzie they do keep me amused in fact they are just behind me on top of their cage,i think they like to see the pc screen changing,by the way they cant fly properley so they can sit there all day if they wanted to,hunny can just get up in the air then she lands in one of my house plants like a dive bomber ha ha,sunny cant even do that but they are quite content climbing outside their cage,if they could fly they would be in the avery with all the others,i dont like animals caged in a small enclosure but i dont have a lot of choise with these two, anyway they are too tame now espesialy hunny she kisses me all over bless her.

Re: indoor rain

Not boring at all, we got wet this morning on our walk but later managed to do our weekly shop in town with out a drop of rain, almost had some sunshine , got home and the heavens have opened again, matter of fact it is coming down like stair rods as we say round here.
Some one who shall be nameless keeps telling me the garden needs it.

Carol.
