How to post image in forum

I may be missing something here or I am incredibly stupid, haven't decided which yet.

I want to post a couple of thumbnail images in the trees and shrubs forum that show a larger photo when clicked They are of an image that needs identification. I can figure out how to post an ordinary size image in the forum. Does the forum automaticaly resize a normal image down to a thumbnail and make it a clickable link to the full size image or do I have to do that somehow?

I could just post the full size image in the trees and shrubs gallery and leave it to the editors to decide but was trying to save them work.

Ollie, when you're writing a post, at the bottom of the page there is a button that says 'Manage Attachments'. Click on this and you can then brows to your image in the some way as you do for the gallery. When the file name's in the box, click the add button on the far right of this and this will add your image to the thread. You don't have to make thumbnails or resize images. It does it for you.
