RSPB Birds of Britain and Ireland PC/PDS Guide

I've just bought a copy of this programme which runs on the PC and on a PDA and I can highly recommend it. Using it on the PDA is fun when you are out and about as it will play sounds of each of the birds listed and give you a ready refernce for the more obscure birds you see around.

You get some very interesting reactions from the wild birds if you play some of the calls

Sounds very interesting. I'll have a look for that, thanks.

I sometimes use a PDA with bird calls on and like you say it does have an effect on the wildlife.

Re: RSPB Birds of Britain and Ireland PC/PDS Guide

My brother told me about that yesterday as he has just bought DVD-ROM Guide to British Birds version 8 and saw the RSPB one at Leighton Moss. He is incredibly pleased with the one that he has got so we've decided to buy that one, rather than the RSPB one. I do have a PDA and when he said that you can use the RSPB one on it, I was tempted but think I'll stick with the one that he has got.

Its amazing how quick you begin to learn the different calls.
