Just lovely

I have this piece of kit at present

http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/pr...dt1&l=en&s=bsd

As well as watching DVD's at 6 foot by 8 foot I have been gaming and have tonight looked at the gallery at supersize. Fantastic. Who needs a plasma when one of these beauties is so versatile?

A 6 foot by 8 foot Robin, the mind boggles! Better than a Plazma, you can use it anywhere.. I'm jealous...

It belongs to work and my boss hogs it big time. Now I know why. I am pretty sure when he calls me to return it my phone will start breaking up and my best Norman Collier will prevail. I use it weekly now so have an excuse to adopt it for good. As Glsammy says, you can take it anywhere, but its not leaving my house for a long while.

And now because of digital, you'd have to use one of these instead of the old slide projectors.

Re: Just lovely

Yep, its a must have. Ditch the plasma and go high definition projector. TV is rubbish anyway. The photos look fantastic on it. I wish I had the facility to set up a slide show of them, randomly throwing up different subjects.

I spoke too soon and seem to have thrown a spanner in BBC's works. The golf has gone down. Whoops.

I recognise that Robin do you have the owners permission to use it

So it was you that got Stu to increase the image size for Plasma displays?

BTW I don't seem to have your address Boddie

I've been to some talks when the speaker used equipment similar to this. He used Powerpoint to control his slide/image show. With a bit of imagination you could do a lot couldn't you!

Why do you need it?

a) You are sending round the men in black coats
b) The CSA are asking for me
c) You have papers to serve on me

There is an easy way to set up a random slideshow, (assuming your laptop is running xp), right click on the desktop, go to screensaver, click use contents of folder, go to browse and select your folder of photos, set the time to powerdown to indefinite (or turn off the sleep mode), then simply leave the laptop to kick in the screensaver - as the Digi projector shows anything which is on your PC screen voila you have a random slideshow, much easier than powerpoint.

Yep I made some more space and the size of the projection is now uber huge. I now have the projector full time as I am the current presentation guru in my team. If I had 2.5K to blow on a plasma I would definitely buy one of these instead, not that this is going back in a while as I have too many DVD's to get through. I have some tasty Harman Kardon speakers too so the Reservoir Dogs have never looked so menacing and sounded so aggressive.

Fantastic
