| | | Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch I love seafood, I've only ever tried 1 whelk though and it was like eating a bouncy ball, also don't fancy jellied eels although I would try them given the chance but I don't think I'd like 'em.
If your ever in Lyme Regis theres a lovely lady by the cob that has a little seafood stall, lovely cockles I tells ya! |

Would of had a roast but we are off to the IOW in the morning so we thought a one pot wonder would do the job and very nice it was too. (although it was a little under seasoned but don't tell her that!) |

| | | Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch We had Pasta and sauce all home made. I am not a great lover of Roast Dinners I think it has something to do with my mother she did not make the best roast dinner. (Something she would say herself). I do like my mother-in –laws roasts, and I worry if she were to find out that we do not have a roast every Sunday.

Anyway, my fave seafood is.... well I like all of it tbh, though I must admit I've never tried whelks - looked at them, but just couldn't bring myself to buy and eat some My fave fish is definately seabass though!

Originally Posted by Stewy I'd like to have a bash at home made pasta but I aint got a machine, can it be done without? | i don't have one either, I just make the dough as per any old recipe and then flatten it in my hand to make a square like shape about the size of my palm. (I have very small hands) then I put cheese in it, this time ricotta and make a parcel. It does make it a bit more uneven than doing it in a pasta maker, so you might have to cook it for longer, but them we like quite soft pasta. It is trail and error like a lot of cooking.

Just that I've been wondering why I have so seldom given thought to "Sunday Lunch" for thirty years! |

Just that I've been wondering why I have so seldom given thought to "Sunday Lunch" for thirty years! | We have roast dinner here (not today though!) which is normally around 5/6 pm, what time do most folks have their Sunday roast? | |
