Your fault stewy for being a pig you should have had apple and cinnamon pie and custard, instead of a punnett of strawbs and tub of whipped cream, shei

Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch

Certainly Sheil, someone much older than me would act far more responsibly and wouldn't have a nibble, thankfully I'm not old yet!

Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch

It is supposed to be summer but it was freezing this evening so I made us a apple crumble with just a hint of cinnamon and sultanas. Served hot with cream. Yum.

You are so right, they can have such a cheeky sideways look at you. I suppose it is just a wary eye from a nervous bird, but I love them. If we get a few they can take what they want.

Not sure if it's a Mistle Thrush or not but he/she is even funnier, I can get within a foot of it and it doesn't bat an eyelid, it scurries around the borders and everytime I glimpse it out of the corner of my eye I think it's a rat!!!!

Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch

As a vegetarian I cook a Sunday roast sometimes but with just the vegetables that I grow in my garden. You cannot better steamed Mange tout, Broccolli leaves and florettes, carrotts, Pettit pois with home grown spuds and roasted Parsnips and mashed Swede with butter and pepper!! Who needs meat! Not me!

WE have had quite a few (5) courgettes, some as big as your little finger! (obviously not all this big).

They are my favourite veg to grow, though good beans are good fodder.
