| | | Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch After a tremendously successful fungi foray in the glorious sunshine today at Minley with singingjulie, CapAndBracket and NickCantle, I cooked Loin of roe venison with rosti, diced celeriac/carrot/parsnip/beetroot, creamed savoy cabbage, with a red wine jus. (Didn't have time to make the game gravy cos the England v Italy 6 Nations match was on)

We went to the Big Big Comedy Bash at the Hexagon in Reading - Jo Brand, Sean Lockwood, Ed Byrne, Jethro, Milton Jones and a few more I can't remember their names but it was fantastic - my belly & cheek muscles are hurting now and I'm dehydrated from crying with laughter! And all in aid of charity for autistic kids

Last night £20,000 was raised on tickets alone without counting the bucket collections, etc. and all the acts did it for free.
It was good and it's a cause close to my heart to as I work with people who have learning disabilities and/or are autistic.

| | | Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch We don't always have a roast dinner but we're trying to sit down and eat as a family every sunday lunch. In fact, we try to do it as much as we can in the week too. I think family lunches are very important - a change to sit down and enjoy time together.

| | | Re: Traditional Sunday Lunch We were planning to have a home-made soup from a recipe I found using chard. However! It tasted vile, and I'd spent almost 2 and a half hours making it
So we had to 'make do' with bacon sarnies
