A news item on dog fighting in Northern Ireland states that ' The seized dogs will be "humanely destroyed". I think they ought to 'humanely destroy' the bank balances of those who organise it. If money is the factor that starts it, then perhaps a lack of money will end it. The law needs to be made harsher in some way, else this evil sport will continue. or "humanely destroy" the owners....or perhaps not so humanely...maybe smear them with bovril and put them in the ring with their dogs.... |

These activities are not resricted to Northern Ireland and unfortunately not all of it is about financial gain. |

Utterly despicable and the owners should be shot. The dogs are not at fault as they are only doing what their owners train them to do. |

I agree I don't think its always about money in fact probably rarely about money. Its people with a deviant desire for power or kudos. |

At the end of the day they prob won't ever stop dog fighting..some counties still have cock fighting ,when i went to the dominican republic they were doing trips to see cock fighting not that i went of course!
Its just sick!

I just can not get my head round what enjoyment people get from watching dogs fight.
Its makes you wonder the damage these people could do if they could get hold of other animals that they could train to fight.
