Re: Nightshades WAB Flag

Well done, Nightshade. Do you have a ridge tent? Then you could have one on each side of the roof. One flying from the car aerial would not come amiss either.

Goosey, how clever of you to find it. I trust you both celebrated in true WAB style with whatever you prefer being the tipple of choice.

Re: Nightshades WAB Flag

A great flag! I assume Nightshade made it himself? I seem to remember him asking for advice on flag-making, in one of his posts? I think we will all want one, I certainly do!
Cheers Goosey.

Unfortunately I am out of practice with the sewing machine so
I bought it
It is based on what we supposed the WAB badge would be

I fly it from a 4mtr telescopic fibreglass pole (about £4) it has flown for my week at
Slapton (outside my Trailer-tent) it travels on the rear parcel shelf of the car otherwise
Lots of people remarked on it several actually "knocked" at the tent door to enquire,
but no WAB members, which given what a superb wildlife area with its Ley ,shingle bar
and woodland, suprised me.
I looks as if there were no takers though

Re: Nightshades WAB Flag

What a great wab flag!!
It reminds me of those little flags you can get to put on car aerials.

I can't believe you saw no other wabbers on your trip ....but I wonder if you managed to convert any of the 'knockers' whilst you were there ..... and if they are lurking in the shadows as we speak

Great idea though, I'd definately fly one ....I think it would look very smart fixed to a Goosey Bat Detector

Re: Nightshades WAB Flag

What a great idea, May have to come up with something for my journeys,
Do need those badges though
Often see persons that i think maybe WAB or similar. Would be nice to identify each other.
I know for a fact that other members have mentioned some of our "hot spots"
Who knows maybe the crazy but knowledgeable man I sat talking to a while back was a member (re mammals on south downs), We did not discuss it
