On the 4th September Royal Mail are launching their stunning Endangered Birds stamp issue. These beautiful birds are now, thanks to the efforts of conservation groups and you the caring public, on their way to recovery. Each of the ten first class stamps features a photograph of the bird, its common and scientific name and a statistic referring to its increasing population.

Photo of some of them in this morning's paper. The full list is white-tailed eagle, bearded tit, red kite, cirl bunting, marsh harrier, avocet, bittern, Dartford warbler, corncrake and peregrine falcon. Really beautiful stamps - definitely worth becoming a stamp collector for.

Cool, i'm not a stamp collector but this little set looks nice and worth picking up.

Think i might get some of these stamps next week, i quite like them + i have some letters to send..My grandma will be will be well pleased with them on her envelope!!
