| | | Re: "Travellers" at Pennington Flash I have never had any problems with the travellers I have met
so I assume there are two types?
One lot appear to have better lawyers than the Government
and the ones I usually meet, good manners

| | | Re: "Travellers" at Pennington Flash New age travellers are usually a good bunch of people and care about wildlife and the enviroment it is the other sort who are a bad lot, they normally work on the roads don't give a hoot about the rubbish they leave and rob and pillage |

| | | Re: "Travellers" at Pennington Flash When I used to live near York the 'travellers' once decided to set up home in a city centre car park. While they didn't take up the entire car park they certainly took up quite an area plus nobody wanted to park anywhere near them. And when you did risk parking in this car park at a distance away you got young travellers offering to protect your vehicle for money.
What really annoyed everyone was if you left your car without a parking ticket the council were always quick to fine you but go and live there and nobody bothered. One resident wrote to the local paper and said next time he went to park he was taking his caravan with him so he didn't have to pay
It took the council months to get rid of them, not sure what the thousands of tourists must have thought |
