Im planning to take a holiday to the Isle of White in July, whos been and what would the recomend? top priority is to get some sun and relax closely followed by seeing some Red Squirrels.

any suggestions of anything to see or do welcomed (not just wildlife)

If you like breathtaking views, take a trip to Ventnor on the south of the island and do the St Boniface Down walk. Plenty of birds, chalk meadow flowers, butterflies galore, the odd Grass Snake and if you're lucky Adder and lizards. There's also lots of history attached to the area from Roman, Victorian and WWII. Ventnor town is essentially a Victorian town and retains lots of the charm from that period. My family has been to the island about 30 times and there is always something new to discover. I have been a couple of times B4, though we were cycling round and over it, it is a beautiful place and I am sure you will enjoy it. Oh it is very hilly too................Jon
