We went for a walk on some local woodland and saw this set up in a field a few hundred yards away. We go there regularly and haven't seen it before and I can't work out what it is. Does anyone know? note the gas canisters?

??? The Gas Cans look as if there supplying heat to coops? Most interesting maybe little people from another Galaxy  |

I think it is a set-up for rearing game birds, I saw a larger one near Reading with what looked like young pheasants in it.

um. yes i think its fopr rearing partridge/pheasants. there a couple of farmers up my way with these. they look almost identical, except i don't remember ever seeing them with gas cannisters before. maybe these ones get cold easily!

It's a pity to see a set up for providing livestock to satisfy bloodlust . Any terrorist cells in the area will have a ready supply of car bomb materials! |

Its only when they're tiny, they get released to wander about at will once they are bigger, personally I'd far rather see this then them being shut away in a shed living on 18 inches of their own excrement and dead relatives never to see daylight..... |

Thanks for the confirmation guys! And it's not snow, or frost, or sand! Just a field that had been rotavated and and very bad photo, exposure, etc!

There will be a beach party in Hereford this weekend! there importing sand and inflating placcy palms and having fireworks. This field could be an ideal location for the same thing and you wouldn't go short on food!+ I wouldn't feel like such a ninny |
