| | | Bird Fair I've just searched for posts about the Birdfair in August. There are only posts from last year. I've never been and am interested in going this year. Any comments, is is a good fair. From last years posts it looks as if any heavy rain will make parking a disaster !
Here's the web site for it. Birdfair - British Birdwatching Fair

| | | Re: Bird Fair The bird fair is an excellent day out, its packed with 100's of fantastic stalls that will part you from your "hard earned"
If you have an interest in Wildlife it is not to be missed.
The car parks can get a bit dodgey but with well over a month to go its got every chance of drying out yet. |

| | | Re: Bird Fair I have helped represent Birdforum there since 2003 (they haven't got a marquee this year) and I can concur regarding the car parks if it rains. There have been times when the car parks have been closed because they have become waterlogged.
The actual fair can be a brilliant time as there is everything there on show. There are also some excellent demonstrations and talks and a wealth of experts covering almost anything.
It is well worth going but if you can afford it go for at least two of the three days. That way you can pace yourself better and give more time to what's on show.

| | Re: Bird Fair I go very two years but not when it is raining, it's like Glastobury!
I was once responsible for a mini twitch after finding a family of young Bullfinches being fed by the adults alongside the path from the car park.
It is a brilliant place to meet fellow birders, dudes and Robinstrokers, a- not to be missed event | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
