Saving, for a rainy day

On Saturday I decided to take my old mans advice and start "saving for a rainy day". On Sunday it started raining, and has not stopped since. I had £2.40, so have had 48 pence per day to spend. Does not seem like good advice to me.

Boddie I just love your humour. I was sat here feeling none too happy and then I read your thread about Rainy Day Savings.ROFL How much will you have each day if it rains until Saturday?

No point in suing Boddie, though, wildone - he's already told us he only has £2.40!

Re: Saving, for a rainy day

So now if it keeps raining, you will not have anything saved for the days that are wet. I think you had better start praying for snow.

I take it that you have had a good day; with all those caring, sympathetic nurses gazing into those beautiful eyes of yours.

Re: Saving, for a rainy day

I am a medical sales rep and work for a company that provides instruments and technology to Surgeons. So I spend alot of time in O/R's advising on new techniques and procedures, and how new technologies can be best employed to benefit the O/R staff and patients.
Very gratifying work, never the same day twice. Loads of responsibility but the best job in the world.

Re: Saving, for a rainy day

Decided to try out "A stitch in Time, saves nine".

How true it was. There I was, in Time computers, wearing not a stitch! I got sentenced to 9 months!

Remember, old wives know best!

Old wives, you're having a laugh aint ya?

Those that coin such phrases are liars, and you paid the price!!

Whoever coined the phrase 'cleanliness is next to godliness' was talking out of their backside. I looked them up in the dictionary last night. godly and godsend are next to godliness. Cleanliness was 453 pages away.

Re: Saving, for a rainy day

It was alovely day here today, so I went out birding , was just going to take a snap of a Blue tit when a couple of foghorns standing 6 inches away shouted "Hello Beryl, my, where did you get that suntan" Well the little bluetit didn't come back and I'm not telling what I said about my suntan

Yes a lovely day in Littleham too only I was stuck in washing and ironing.Mind you my large rotary washing line with the washing on it made a good Hide.managed to get some photos of the starlings which had found a new fatball on the tree. When I want to get close to the birds near top of garden that line will come in handy with a couple of sheets to hide me

Re: Saving, for a rainy day

I’m saving shovels for a rainy day
To burry the foghorns who come my way
And shout vary loudly with nothing to say
They frighten the birds from six inches at bay
