| | | Rats to Soft Drinks Remember to always drink from a glass…………..
'This incident happened recently in North Texas.
A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke which she put into the refrigerator of the boat. On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on Wednesday.
The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass. Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis.
This is as it was sent to me but I always wipe the tops of tins and cans, having worked in warehouses
it is as simple a basic rule as washing your hands after
Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.
A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e).. full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before pu tting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.
Please forward this message to all the people you care about.'

| | | Re: Rats to Soft Drinks I can't believe how thick I have been all these years drinking straight from cans - I won't be doing it again thats for sure. I will read this thread out to my husband and kids so they 'll think twice about doing it and it's not just a case of me nagging! Thanks Nightshade - what a scary story . |

Look at the last story - the one in Belgium - it's the same one!

| | | Re: Rats to Soft Drinks I am so glad I never drink out of cans (or bottles if it comes to that) after reading this thread.
A china cup is for tea
A mug is for coffee and hot chocolate
A clear glass is for water and fruit juice
A wine glass is for red wine!
A pint glass is for beer

| | | Re: Rats to Soft Drinks A 'china cup' (I should have said tea cup) is either bone china pottery or porcelain china pottery and must always be used to drink tea. It is a much thinner pot and, for some reason, gives the tea a much better taste!
