Angry Unbelievable Vandalism!!

The inhabitants of a school wildlife pond were killed over the weekend; 25 newts removed from a pond and thrown against a wall. I'm sickened that someone would actually do this, even more so on a school wildlife pond. I only live a couple of miles from this school and am only too aware what little respect some people have round here of wildlife but such a deliberate act it beyond belief

Re: Unbelievable Vandalism!!

It's a sad fact, but this sort of mindless and evil act isn't an isolated incident. I know, I have seen similar.
It does make you wonder about the minds of the people/children who are capable of such a thing. Something is going wrong somewhere.
I'll conclude here as it makes me too filled with negativity to respond coherently.
Sick.

Hanging is too good for these sick individuals. I wish they could be made to suffer in the same way as the animals/birds they mutilate for "fun".

Re: Unbelievable Vandalism!!

They should be shot on sight. I'm sick to the back teeth of the government pussy footing around with these people. When will they wake up ? Nothings sacred, nothings safe, I feel sick, sick to the stomach. It should be a case of BANG BANG you won't be doing that again. Also people that can't bring up their children properly shouldn't be allowed to have them.

Re: Unbelievable Vandalism!!

cant say i'm that suprised - this kind of thing used to be (and probably still is) a regular occurence in MK , we helped one school rebuild its wildlife pond 3 times , and everytime it was trashed - tv ariels torn down and used to puncture liner , and/or contamination with deisel fuel and paint - eventually they gave up and turned it into a bog garden.

and remember the blue peter sunken garden back in the day ...

Re: Unbelievable Vandalism!!

We have similar problems with my school woodland. because it backs onto a housing estate kids tend to think it is theirs to use as they want. Luckily the pond hasn't been touched but they do damage the trees for no reason, They run or walk through all the hedges just generally doing damage.
The school is having more CCTV's put in and thinking about getting a security person on site 24/7.. But how sad it is that things have to come to this.

Bring back national Service and the Birch.

Oh you wicked man!
I intend to plant as many thorny, prickley, wild Plants and Bushes as possible, also intend to encourage Stinging nettles to grow in big bushes, where they are hard to see ( But safely out of way of where the children will be walking, hunting and studying.

Re: Unbelievable Vandalism!!

... and build a bog garden in a long ditch along the base of the fence - about 2ft deep by 3ft wide should do it - so they jump off the fence , into the thornystuff then lunge out of that into the swamp -then crawl all wet and torn out of the swamp into a nice nettle bed - that should deter the little darlings
