| | Random Question??? Here is a random but useful question.
Like humans can you have short or long sighted animals? Imagine a short sighted hawk. |

| | | Re: Random Question??? An interesting question. I would imagine that it's possible but for something like a hawk it would seriously impact it's hunting ability and therefore very quickly be removed from the gene pool! Probably the same would apply for the hawk's prey if it couldn't see him coming
But I guess there are other species for whom it wouldn't be such a problem. For example Wild Boar which doesn't need good distance vision for foraging and, here in the British countryside, doesn't have any predators (other than us) that it needs to keep an eye out for.

| | | Re: Random Question??? as a short sighted person i assume that it is a condition attributable only to humans ,however as i think it is usually caused by muscle stretch i see no reason why any eye muscle would not also stretch ,we can discern the condition by reference to set data that should be clear no animal can do this so it would only now its shortsightedness as its norm and adapt accordingly .
i think this is not discern able in an animal because of its lack of communication and ability to establish a norm |
