Nope, but I enjoy drinking it!!!!   you can't beat a good homemade Parsnip wine |

I fancied making some last year but never got round to it. Determined to have a go at elderflower wine this year though.

Most popular wines seem to be;Elderberry,Sloe,Blackberry,Apple, and Banana

There are shifty people who haunt the local greengrocers specificaly to buy or better yet, be given black bananas.
It is an easy wine to make and has good body so is useful to add to less robust wines,No it does not taste of banana!
My particular wine favourite is Shiraz or Syrah or Sirah. Petite Sirah by Boulders is in my opinion excellent
Blackberry wine is my favourite homemade but I am always torn between leaving them for the wildlife,eating them off the bramble,in pies ,with icecream
or three pounds to make 5ltrsof wine, the wine usualy wins!

i make Mead out of the first honey of the year, dandelion honey and different liqueurs.

i have no idea what with my first message to this topic happened, ha.. ha.... i wanted to edit it..
I meant that i make mead out of dandelion honey, the first honey of the year we have here.

im not a big wine drinker really i'll go with boddie on the beer.
although, my grandad died last year and ive aquired a wine making kit, so was going to give it a go at some point, does anyone know where i can get recipes (maybe some simple ones to start with).

What fruit do you fancy starting with? Let me know and I'll dig out a recipe (my mother used to make wine and I've got lots of recipes).

My Mum used to make an Elderflower champagne. A sort of fizzy slightly alcoholic drink with lemmon juce and sugar it was realy nice if you like Elderflower.
I have thought about making wine but if its like the larger I used to make I'l give it a miss. |

Make your own wine,you can control the alchohol levels, use natural products
costs next to nothing gets you outdoors
