The cygnets are finally out, only got a glimpse yesterday but managed to get this of the happy family today.
Hope they do better than last year, three born only one survived.
They are our local pair called Edward & Edwina. Edward was ringed at Diggles Flash, Leigh in Sept 1988, Edwina is about 5/6 years and his second mate, the first one died over 5 years ago and he was terrible on his own, it had got to the stage were the rangers had considered moving him, then young Edwina turned up with a flock of youngsters and she stayed, last year was the first youngster from them. I love happy endings.
