This has caused the two front tyres to become illegal. They have only done about 15K plus one of my back tyres is illegal and the other close to it (I did know about them and was changing them this week). Also both garages remarked on my mileage and asked if I had changed my cam belt, which of course I haven't. This should have been done on a 100K and now I am on 120K so that needs changing rapido so I am left with a bill close to £800 also.
Nice to know someone else has had a similar day.

At the end of the day you either need the car or you don't. If you do, then you'll find the money and get it sorted.
It's only £60 - 70 a month out of your life savings/pension fund!
Hope you both get sorted soon.

Oh i need the car as work is over 15miles away, and fixing the gearbox will be alot cheaper than buying another car luckily my Dad is good at lending me money and will no doubt be added on to the money i already owe him for the original loan for the car just as i thought i'd nearly paid it off!!
John,
It's kind of nice to know i'm not the only one having a bad day hope you get yours sorted soon |

The camo gear and netting must of been really good because it was hovering for the best part of 10 minutes over me before the winchman saw me and they moved off ! At least my car is ok but my hair is a mess |

but you know, karma's a funny thing, so look on the upside, for every rotten thing that happens something brilliant has to happen! as this works both ways and i've been having a good run, i fully expect something horrendous (a bad hair day, an awkward question, gulp, an unexpected expense) to be waiting just around the corner. swat sheild at the ready.......

| | | Re: One of those bad days!!!! I've not had much luck with vehicles either. I've needed new engines in most of the ones I've owned (including my old series III Land Rover, although it was the rotten chassis that finally made me part with it). Luckily I don't have to use my own vehicle for work as my company very kindly provide one, but even one of the company vans was written off by an off duty police sargeant who neglected to notice that I had stopped in front of him.
None of this beats Kev's bad hair day though I'm sure!
