The Usk Road day out

I spent a fabulous day I saw,Buzzards,a new Rookery,Great Tits gathering moss for a nest hole and Blue Tits pinching it,irridescent green beetles eating a plant to its ribs,Orange Tip
Butterflies, elegant fast moving brown butterflies,a Tree Creeper,Pheasants in flight,
Curlew calling,Woodpeckers drumming, Pea Hens foraging a hedgerow and finally an aerial display by Pipistrelles

wow....that was a good day out! sounds like you saw loads of stuff, i'm ever so slightly jealous

i was out over the weekend but there were too many people to get very good views of anything. i had a great shot of a grey wagtail lined up and then some small child ran into the river so my photo is a blurred yellow and grey streak and a pair of bright red wellies. grrr....

Alas I only had my pocket camera,I have images of the beetles
but it reacts too slowly for the moving butterflies etc.
