| | | Re: Slow or what It's pouring down here but I'm taking a group of primary school children for a walk in the (very local) woods to look at litter!
If truth be told it's the adults who need educating, it isn't the kids who throw fridges etc into the woods, but ho hum - any message is better than no message. |

| | | Re: Slow or what Keeps slowing down, then speeding up, might be something to do with the bandwidth.
Maybe there is so much info on each page it just takes a long time for a page to load up!!
One way to spead it up when browsing(if it's your own cash files and you've been on a while) is switching off the comp, restarting and logging back on. Also if you have too many applications running it can slow things down too.
Though this does only appear to be happening on this site. All other I've visited today have been normal speed, so it's not the comp. It shouldn't be a big problem to fix, at least it's still working. Which is all that matters to me. |

In a bid to keep all these together, as they say the same thing!!
Will a moderator or board admin merge these, as I got so confused just a few minutes ago.
Glad everything is back to normal.

| | | Re: Slow or what We had 3 perl processes on the server that were taking up 99.9% of resources. The techies stopped them and it went back to normal, but in the last hour they've appeared again. Will hopefully find where they're coming from and get it sorted this evening

| | | Re: Slow or what Really would appreciate it, I've been kicked off three times just trying to let you know I was experiencing problems.
The effort you guys put into this is amazing, I should know.
And I think some take it for granted, which is so easily done.
Just a Big thankyou from me and I guess everyone else on WAB too, to show that the work you are putting into maintaining this site really is appreciated. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
