Is it me? I know that I am an ancient techophobe but I cannot upload my profile picture or personal avatar. Each picture is within the size parameters. According to the control panel, my profile picture is the one I selected but does not appear on my posts. Is there a time lag before this happens, or am I just stupid. I selected my avatar picture jpeg from my computer, saved it and received a message saying that it was not a suitable file.

As a matter of interest, certain members have wonderful titles. I assume that this comes through long service and good conduct and that titles are awarded by the powers that be. I am not suggesting that my title is anything other than correct. "New" doesn't even begin to describe my situation here.

Hi Colin..........Not sure on the profile picture as I have not got one, but your avatar has to be a very small size to make it acceptable. If you download image resizer on this link http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx you can resize your avatar picture to make it small enough. This is assuming your using windows XP.
When you reach 500 posts you will become an officer, then a commander at 1000 and so on.........

your profile picture won't appear on your posts , just on your profile - it is the avatar which appears on your posts , and like jonny says this needs to be a very small size.
