Avater from archive

How do you get an Avatar uploaded from the archive pics in the galley..

I went into "edit avatar" copied and pasted the url into Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website..

It came up with an error.

I had to use Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer..

When I have images already, either in the gallery or archive it would save me a lot of time if I could use one of these instead of searching the pc.

Is there an easy way..

Not possible I'm afraid. Avatars have to be no more than 80x80 pixels, a very small image, so have to be prepared separately.

I changed my avatar the other day and it's fine on the forums but I've noticed that when I post remarks in the gallery section it's my old avatar that's shown (cat). Is there a glitch in the system?

Try clearing out your temporary internet files and your cookies. This forces your computer to load new pages, and should then show your new Avatar.
