| | | Frozen page I hope someone can help. The 'my photos' link in the gallery is frozen at 08-03-2008, it shows three waiting for approval banners of pictures that have been accepted for the gallery, states that I have 44 comments, when in fact I have 51 and does not show my latest uploads at all. If I click on any of the 'awaiting approval' banners, the picture opens as normal, and all of the pictures are in the gallery, can someone please give me a clue ?

I too have been having problems, ie uploading photos to gallery, sometimes they go then the site freezes up on me.
I think there is all sorts of bugs in the server.
It is a good web site so bare with it I'm sure the administartors will sort it out.

I think there is all sorts of bugs in the server. | the fact that only a few members are experiencing this points to it being an issue with their web providers or pcs rather than a server fault - the freeze in loading pics is almost certainly a firewall or anti virus conflict either on the pc or at the iSP
if there were indeed lots of bugs in the server everyone would be having problems. (and i'm sure stu would be having words with the host as server expenses are wabs main outlay at present)

(and i'm sure stu would be having words with the host as server expenses are wabs main outlay at present) | Seems strange that it only happened recently, after behaving well for six months or more, as I havn't changed anything at this end, and I am not experiencing any problems other than this. My firewall and antivirous have been from the same supplier for over five years, and it is not cheap, so you can imagine I would be having words with them if it was a general problem. However, as I said before, I can live with it, if it means I can remain a WAB member, I really like this site

now i'm not saying that you have the same problem - but it may be similar as auto updates are continually loading for every MS or apple user so no computer remains in precisely the same state for long.

| | Re: Frozen page Unconnected but still related (if that makes sense), I often have to click Refresh to view the latest Gallery submissions even though when the page is reloaded a few hours later this SHOULD load the new set automatically.
It's really not an issue, I'm just curious. |

It's really not an issue, I'm just curious. | what isp are you with ? - this is a common issue with aol. (and possibly some others)
its another one that may be cured by regularly clearing cookies, and deleting temp internet files and/or an occasional hard refresh

| | | Re: Frozen page I am also with AOL, It may have some connection with the problems, I will contact them to find out what the problem is, as I would expect better from what is one of the most expensive ISPs. Regarding clearing files and cookies, I do this at the end of each session along with my browsing history. As I run aol on digital cable it gets a refreshh each time I log on. Thanks for the info. eeyore
