| | | Timing out Often I have WAB running in the background when doing other stuff such as editing in Photoshop, or if I'm doing other things, but are still logged-in to WAB. If I go back to WAB after a certain length of time, I have to log-in again as it seems I've been timed-out or similar. Does anyone know if there is a time limit when you're automatically logged-out because of inactivity? |

If I leave WAB running in the background for any length of time, (ten minutes or so) when I go back to it I have to log in again. I also have to log in everytime the PC has been switched off, but I just assumed that was something to do with the PC clearing cookiies on shut down etc.

Roger. | Yes, this still happens to me (even with the remember me box ticked) occasionally.

Roger. | Thats weird Roger..Shouldn't happen. It's such a long time since I last logged in, I'm not sure I remember my password!
Have you got cookies enabled? Or have you any utility that deletes any on line content? Either of these would cause this to happen, by removing the WAB cookie. |

Yes I do have cookies enabled as I use stat counters on the websites I run and I need cookies enabled to stop the stat counters counting me as a visitor when I look or work on the sites. I am running IE 6 web browser and it is set to save all online content in the cache and cookies as well. As far as I am aware there should be nothing that deletes any content on shutdown. I never delete my temporary intenet file cache unless I have any problems of any kind which I haven't had lately (touch wood) and I have 80meg of space set in IE6 for my temporary internet files. When this is full it just automatically deletes the oldest stuff to make room for new.
I run AVG anti virus and McFee firewall can't think that these have any effect on things though.
cheers

| | | Re: Timing out That is odd then. AVG certainly wouldn't have anything to do with it, nor should your firewall.
Do you have the same problem on other sites? |

Definately sounds like a browser issue at your end.
