Or reverted back to a very basic layout so there is something for us to use, but they are able to sort things out easier. Kinda like a provisional site whilst work is being done. Even bigger guess!! I am going now!!!

Yes there's much more "white space"....
I quite like it... it's much less busy... just have to zoom up a bit for reading the text though

I like the cleans line look, but what i dont like this morning which i didnt notice last night, has there been a revision?

I now have to scroll down past a large block of adverts to actually get to the point of the site which is the information contained within the site and the forums!! I navigate straight to the new posts page of the forum, that is how i use the site and on my setup i can see none of the point for the site, just a large block of adverts a third of the page!!, i know i have repeated myself!!

so anyone running low resolution monitor setting will not get anything other than a google ad block, the only reference to what is below is that small synopsis box.

sorry stuartdh, big mistake there, its make the site difficult to use, not hugely but a difference, if you have to navigate to read forums and type replies, that is the essence of the site not a google ad box. it might not seem important, but .....

It's been there for about 6 months, but only for unregistered/not logged in members. There's also smaller version for members, but I've not rebuilt it yet for this new style.

Larger than we'd like, and ideally we wouldn't have them at all, but the above block is the 'big mistake' that's provided about 70% of all of WAB's funding over the past 6 months

...the member's version provides about 5%

P.S. For those still wondering, yep, we've got a new style for the site

The aim is to make things less cluttered and easier for new memebrs to use the site and find answers to FAQs, navigate around more quickly etc.

Still a few changes to make over the next day or so, but nearly there.

I like it but miss the links to "your posts" and "new posts" that were at the bottom of each page. It was easier to use them than scroll back up the page to find them.

It is a cleaner look and I think loads faster. I like it now. Since I have played no part in the revamp and am not a computer wizz I am not in a position to critize. However, since I can still access everything I want to I feel critism is not necessary. Thanks to StuartDH for (in my opinion) improving the site.

I seldom use the front page - I enter by the Insect .... Forum - so my experience may not be the same as everyone elses. However, I do find the new system slower when shifting from item to item, forum to forum &c. I have no feelings about the changed layout but am rather irritated by the delays .... (I notice an ad has appeared above: 'Tired of slow PCs? Try this ....'

). It's not too much of a problem for me but could be for people with slower systems?

I like the look of it. Easier to navigate to pages other than the forum pages also - which I think is important.

I am also enjoying reading the new adverts.
Especially the one for the "Single Muslim?" (dating agency?) and
the advert for HUGE KNICKERS - Up to XXXL!

I'm sorry, but whoever invented black print on white paper needs to see through my eyes, then put them up against the wall ... I'm going blind enough without this.

Could the background colour not be tinted a bit? I like yellow.

It may be that the slowness is caused because the pages are new and have to be loaded fresh. Once you've visited each page it should be much quicker the next time round.

This is only a guess, I may be completely wrong!

I struggle with black on white too, finding it a strain to read, and would prefer a tinted background

Same here. I have to enlarge the print as it is..I like the layout though. I also like the link to the gallery through reply box..Good idea..

And I have just found a button at the bottom left that says 'bright' or 'sand' - bright is the white background and sand is back to yellow and green - anyone else spotted this yet??
