Gallery issues

It was nice too see this photo appear in the random photos bit of the galllery - unfortunately it was Titled as "Bonnyton Moor" and credited to McLeish (click on the first photo) whereas in actual fact it is one of my photos (click on the second photo)



I realise that there have been problems with the swop over of the gallery to a new server - I have lost lots of photos accepted for the original gallery but not transferred properly to the new one.

I think this is a more serious problem. I don't want my photographs credited to someone else in a gallery that is accessible by members of the general public - if I wanted to be nasty about it I could consider it a breach of my copyright (a serious issue). I don't want to be nasty but would appreciate somebody having a close look at this issue. If it's happened to me then it has happened to others.

In the first instance it would be better if everyone checked thier own photos and report any that are not taken by them.

We posted some info about this a few weeks ago in the New Gallery thread that there's a fault in the original gallery that allowed images to be saved with the same original filename - in the above case it's 'sheep.jpg'

The new gallery automatically changes similar filenames, but it can't do it for the imported images so we've had about 100 pics that got mixed up because they were robin.jpg, sparrow.jpg etc. Fortunately, 99% of the gallery uploads have unique names like IMGabc01392.jpg etc

Where some images still get mixed we've asked the members to let us know about it, but unfortunately the only remedy is to delete the incorrect image
