Lost Photos

I Have been wondering if we are having problems with the photo gallery. Subscriptions I have made are not visible. I have uploaded three photos over the weekend that I now cannot find. Two of a Great Tit and one of a Blue Tit. I have seen them from an email link received to say they have been approved. I can still link to them that way. I have done a search on my user name (Neil) also using different other searches. I have looked in my subscriptions and find that other posts I know I have made are not in there. Unfortunately I clear my received Emails quite frequently so cannot do a comprehensive research.
I want to make it clear that I am not having a go at our hard working moderators.
I have the utmost respect for all the work done by them. I have seen all of the uploads via the email links and received comments on many of the uploads. I’m just wondering if others have had the same experience.

Neil

Re: Lost Photos

Neil, I wrote yesterday evening that there is a glitch with the Waterbirds category. Looks now as if there may be a glitch on all three new bird categories (Tits and Finches, Water and Sea Birds, Birds of Prey and Owls). We can do nothing until Stuart comes back and contacts Admin. In the meantime can all members who have posted photos and cannot see them please be patient. Thank you.

The fungi category has not been altered apart from changing the name from Mushrooms to Fungi as you had requested. I'll have a look and see if that also need Stuart's attention.

Re: Lost Photos

With those I don't think it will be neccessary as they are there but hidden from members who are not editors or moderators. Probably something simple like a box not ticked, but Admin are the only ones who can do that.

Re: Lost Photos

it seems that photos that have been transferred from the original bird gallery to one of the new sub-galleries no longer appear under the user's images. i.e. if I view all of 'matt-xyz's images' I can no longer see any of my images that have been transferred to the new tits and finches gallery.

One other minor comment for Stu: when viewing the 'main' bird gallery (which is presumably now the 'other birds' gallery - should this be clearer?), there is no way to follow a link to the new bird galleries (tits and finches etc). They don't appear in the thread tree at the top of the page.

thanks very much to Stu, glsammy and Wildone for their hard work in amending the gallery (and any others who I'm not aware of!).

Matt

In fact it is Digi, Oy and myself who have done ALL the hard work in transfering images into the new categories.

I have now found the Blue Tit in its correct category (I am happy it will not now starve). Thanks to Digi, Oy and Wildone for the work done, if only you could educate me so I can remember things I have read a short time before (senility?).

At present it looks as if you need to go into each of the new categories separately and a users images cannot be seen all at once. This is all part of the glitch that we have to wait for Stuart before it can be corrected.
