Panoramic format photos

Hi,

New Member Alert! Please forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere but I've serched and can't find it.

Is it okay to upload photos in panoramic format? The how to upload page says images should be between 800 x 600 and 1280 x 1024, both of which are 4:3 aspect ratio. I've had a good look through the galleries and can't see anything that isn't either 4:3 or 3:2. While I have many images in these formats I also have several in 3:1 panoramic that I'm rather fond of. Can these be uploaded, and if so, what would be the preferred pixel width?

Certainly as far as the forum images gallery goes you can upload images in any format however the longest side should be between 800 and 1280 with the other dimension not exceeding 1024.

I have uploaded a number of square images and a certain number of panoramic type shots - those these are cropped from a 4:3 and thus dont conform to any specific format

It would take a gallery editor or moderator to tell us if this is also true of the moderated galleries but off the top of my head I cant see why it wouldnt be
