Yes, phoretic mites (Acari). Not uncommon on arachnids. |

Looking at the host arachnid.. I wonder if it might be a female buzzing spider Anyphaena accentuata.. Just a suggestion from what I think I can see of the patterning.

Thank You all for taking the time to respond, it looks like you all agree they are passengers - looking at how large they are and how much blood they are taking I wonder if they are employed by Arachnid Inland Revenue. | | |
