Talking Spider silk fabric
BBC News - Today - In pictures: Spider web threads

Had to share this. Didn't even realise it was possible but looking at these pictures has just rendered me speechless. This combines two of my favourite things - beautiful fabrics and beautiful spiders - in a wonderful and unexpected way.

I was just looking at this. The gold colour is natural it seems. They claim 'no spider was harmed in the making of this garment' (sort of) and that they were all released back into the wild...
It looks like something the Pharoahs might have worn.
