| | | Re: black field spider I'd say Meta species, probably a dark Meta segmentata though Meta merianae is a possibility as they are generally darker. Larinioides, although similar in abdomen shape have very different legs, those of the species pictured being typical Meta.

So Meta segmentata looks best I guess, I thought it unusual to be all black, so took the shot, great stuff.
