Garden Orb Spider?

This beauty spent all yesterday laying her eggs in the corner of the smoking area at work and making all the girls feel sick, lol.

Very striking beastie, nearly 2cm bodylength with very distinct, thick hairs on her legs and a white stripe bordered by 4 black spots on her back.

Cleverly, she appears to have covered her web in ash & fluff and is now sat guarding it and being very defensive.

Is it a variety or Garden Orb spider? (BTW, it's in Whitehaven)

Seems to be a Cross Orb-Weaver/Garden Spider/Cross Spider Araneus diadematus. They can be very variable in colour, and are nothing to worry about.
