I am rather alarmed by a spider that is currently residing in my garden; please can someone help identfiy it.  |

Hi, it's a Common Garden Spider Araneus diadematus. Nothing to fear. They are docile, and even if you poked it, it would rather scurry off than bite.

I've got pics of pale yellow through to grey, and even orange-red!
