Spider Teamwork?

Hi all,

I've been observing spiders for a few years now. Today i fed a wasp to a Tegenaria. Suffice it to say, this was not my first time.

However, whilst I have seen a teggie and a baby teggie help immobilise a meal together, I just witnessed another species of spider working with a juvenile teggie to make sure the wasp didn't get away. I think its a Stedota of some kind.

Is this normal? Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I have shot a crude video on my phone which i'll try and upload later...

Interesting. Most of the time when I have seen 2 different spider species meet, one will end up decking the other.

I had baby-teg vs amaurobius the other day, and the amaurobius seemed to win that battle as it is still there yet I've not seen the teg...they were fighting over food, not teaming up!
