Wow! Anyone just seen the article on the one show about this spider. They've found a colony in Scotland.
They really do look like a small strawberry.
I'm off to read more.

I have found a Strawberry Spider on my allotment, in Kent.. I think it has now laid eggs! Anyone know who I should report it to to keep it safe?! I can't find any info anywhere, and I don't want it to come to harm, but I need to cut my Strawberries back!! |

Please don't assume that I am casting any doubt on your observation, but it seems a very unusual find. Do you have any photos you could post up?

Good idea, I'll wait to see it. We can have very reddish ( Raddish... geddit?  ) individuals of the very common A. diadematus - more likely I'd think. |

And...I've just tried and it say's that all 3 of my images exceed the filesize limit! I have a photo of it on my Facebook page, if you search for Jan Manning! Other than that I don't know what else I can do! |
