| | | Tegenaria ID help required This is one of the largest spiders I can remember seeing.
I'm pretty sure it's a female Tegenaria but which one?
Seen today in a rural location between folds in canvas. |

| | | Re: Tegenaria ID help required That's an interesting colour to it's abdomen - quite reddish. Is that typical of the species? I'm trying to identify the large spider who's set up home in my compost bin. I'm pretty sure she's a Tegenaria species but not certain which one! Of course, I have Tegenarias in my house - the males are getting rather active at the moment - but the compost one is different.
