Tetragnath (?) spider for identification

This little (probably 8 or so millimetres without legs) fellow was dangling from its web in grassland in Dorset, on the 2nd of August. I've tentatively reached Tetragnathidae in its ID, but am now quite unable to go any further - can anyone advise as to whether it is a tetragnath and, if so, the most likely genus/species? (I was leaning towards Tetragnatha extensa but the foremost pair of eyes seem closer together than any pictures I can find).

That's no Tetragnatha, but an adult male Linyphia triangularis. Here's another example: L. triangularis male

Thanks! No wonder the eyes seemed wrong on Tetragnatha!
