| | | ID : Arachnid - Neoscona adianta? Hello,
I have uploaded an image of an arachnid found at South Milton Sands on the south Devon coast back on the 5th July 2011. I suspect this might be a young Neoscona adianta and wanted to ask for opinions on this please.
Regards,
Andrew. |

I have found adults on the cliff edge near that part of the coast. Particularly fond of gorse. They seem able to cope with the strong winds. |

Just checked Mangora acalypha in my three books and not convinced as nothing matches so maybe it is one to leave alone and wish it was an adult specimen. Pity the net does not discriminate in such a manner.
Regards,
Andrew. |
