| | | Re: 2 spiders ID please There are a lot of fairly small ones making their webs across the plants I noticed today, and the cross on their back is showing up, hence the old name Garden Cross spiders. By autumn they will be alot larger, and vary from nearly black to bright orange in colour. One of my favourites - I usually have a large lady one in the greenhouse.

Two were webbed from the tomato plants to the carrot bags, another 2 from the strawberries to the rabbit hutch, along with a stretch spider of some sort, couldn't get pics though

Nige | I'm seeing a few around my garden too. Their webs can be quite big even though the spider is small. And sometimes I can't quite see where the web is attached - it seems to float in mid-air. |
