Aphid Ambush
This was on my bird feeder pole:
Body about 8mm.

This one looks like Zygiella x-notata.

8mm? That's very large for Zygiella x-notata.

Hi Frits.

I have no wish to challenge your expertise (which I admire ), however it is not unusual (in my experience/location) to see Z-x-n with body length of apprx 8mm, although admittedly this is usually a little later in the year.
