Ero amphana

I saw what looked like bit of detritus in a spider web attached to the shed. bear in mind it's only a few mm in size.


but it looked suspicious so on closer inspection this Ero (presumably amphana) appeared.


just goes to show it pays to check.

A nice find and a rare species if correct, though I imagine they're probably overlooked due to their size.

thanks no.9 a couple of years back Peter Harvey also confirmed a garden record of Ero tuberculata. having a look around last night i also found the distinctive dangling egg case of the Ero species too so i'm keeping my eyes peeled.
