Spider id


can someone please tell me what kind of spider this is? too big for large coffee jar. found under skirting board in scotland.

That is one of the Tegenaria species Daisy, but exactly which one is always a problem. They really need microscopic examination for a certain identification to species level.

ps. A common household spider which helps to prevent a number of pests.
