false widow spider?

Could anyone tell me if this might be a false widow spider? I think there are some baby ones that have come in the house as well. I am nervous as I have a toddler - what should I do???

I think you have photoed Nuctenea umbratica, an orbweb spider and one that is normally very nocturnal, lives in little holes and crevices, not normally found indoors. It should cause you no concern.

If you want to relocate them outside to a suitable place, perhaps with some loose bark on a tree they can creep under, they should take no harm.

You could very well be right. Certainly more likely to be found inside.
